With the weather warming up…I’m starting to think about the things that I want/need for Spring. I really can’t explain why my shopping patterns coincide with Season changes, but I guess it makes sense (that’s why companies release new lines with each Season…right?)…and I would like to share some of the top wants and needs on my list. Check it out:
An outerwear company making boardshorts? Really? Yes, really. 686 brings the same progressive design philosophy and forward-thinking fashion sense to their boardshorts as they do to their technical outerwear pieces. This boardshort is all about quick-drying 100% Polyester Micro Fiber, a waistband stash pocket, and engineered print design, and a Spandex fly gusset so that you don’t rash your little jimmy jam.
Sanuk are the originators of the whole closed-toe sandal craze (don’t let anyone from Sanuk hear you refer to these as shoes, they’re sandals…OK?), and my personal favorite out of the Sanuk camp is the Scurvy. I’m really feelin’ the Boat Shoe styling and the lightweight “Vulc-Lite” construction. And…if you’re going to be rockin’ these things without socks (which…in my estimation, is the only way that they should ever be worn), the Aegis antimicrobial additive is a definite bonus. Plus…fellow like-minded individuals will be happy to note that these are 100% Vegan.
Let’s face it: Wayfarer-style shades are as dead as…dead.
Actually…they’re not, but I think that the hipsters out there are ready for a change. Enter the Von Zipper Mayfield. A revival of the iconic Kennedy-era eyewear styles, the Mayfield comes correct with and impact-resistant polycarbonate lens, an optical quality metal acetate frame, and 100% UV protection.
Feel free to bite on my style. If I happen to run into you…and we’re wearing the same thing, we’ll have to tell everyone that we planned it that way.casual > sandals > shorts > sunglasses
